Robin Denise Deaton

Robin Denise Hollar Deaton, 68, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Born November 27th, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd Gamewell Hollar and Margaret Willis Harmon Hollar. 

Robin dedicated over 30 years of her life working with Canteen and another 20 years with Dillard's. She was a woman with a zest for life, known for her love of traveling and shopping with her friends. The beach was one of her favorite places to relax and recharge. She loved all animals, but dogs were always her favorite!

She is survived by two nieces, Joni Hollar Johnson (Eugene) of Hickory and Lindsey Hollar McClough (Harvelee) of Hickory; as well as her four great-nieces and two great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Gary Keith Hollar.

Following Robin's wishes, there will be no formal service, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Robin’s memory to the Catawba County Humane Society, reflecting her love for animals.
