Roberta Joan Atkins, 90, of Hickory, NC, passed away on September 11, 2024. She was born on December 3, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York.
Known affectionately as Bobbie by those closest to her, she embodied the essence of strength, care, and love throughout her life.
Bobbie dedicated much of her professional life to nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse and caregiver, professions through which she touched many lives with her compassion and dedication. Her commitment to helping others extended beyond her career, evident in her personal interactions and deep relationships.
She was a longstanding member of Temple Beth Shalom in Hickory, NC, where she actively participated in community and spiritual activities. Bobbie also had a vibrant array of hobbies that enriched her life and those around her. She was an avid writer of poetry, a voracious reader, loved working on crossword puzzles, and enjoyed singing.
