Robert Weeks

Robert Irvin Weeks, 82, of Granite Falls passed away peacefully Friday, February 23, 2024, at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House. Born May 18th, 1941 in Gardiner, Maine, he was the son of the late Granville Hadley Weeks and Virginia Sutherburg.

Robert achieved his dream of retiring to North Carolina after a long career in the automotive industry. He loved to boat and fish and watch the Atlanta Braves. He was not a man to sit still and was always working on his house, in his yard, or helping out friends and neighbors. He was a skilled woodworker, creating everything from huge decks, to intricate scrollwork pieces. He and his wife, Carol, would often participate in local craft fairs. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife Carol Weeks; his sons and daughters-in-law, Dustin and Marie Weeks, Daren and Stacey Weeks; and his grandchildren, Adam Weeks and Morgan Weeks. He is also survived by three of his four sisters, Myrna Kane, Brenda Silvers, and Sylvia Mitchell. He was preceded to Heaven by his sister Cherrie Chester.
