Rebecca Marie Burrows

Rebecca Marie Burrows (née Danczak), of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, at the age of 82. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Michael and Sophie Danczak (Jablonowski), Rebecca lived a life full of adventure, love, and cherished moments with her family.

Rebecca was the beloved wife of Frank Burrows, with whom she shared fifty-seven honeymoon years. Her memory will be treasured by her loving daughters and their families: Rachel Nagele and her husband Jeff of Hickory, NC, along with their adoring grandchildren Katherine & Kayne Halliday, Harrison & Hannah Nagele, Madeline & Martin Smolka, Benjamin Nagele, Christian Nagele, and Owen Nagele; and Michelle Sullivan and her husband John of Boca Raton, FL, and their dear grandchildren Sean Sullivan and Casey Sullivan. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Dick Elmhurst of Largo, FL, and his family: Jeff & Sheila Elmhurst of Wallingford, PA, Katie & Kevin Switala of Gilmanton, NH, and Dan & Nickie Elmhurst of Folsom, CA.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Joyce (Danczak) Elmhurst.

Becky had a passion for exploration and the beauty of nature. She found immense joy in driving and traveling, particularly to the National and State Parks across the country. Among her favorite destinations were Custer State Park in South Dakota and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. One of her most memorable adventures was a cross-country drive from Fort Lauderdale to Fairbanks, Alaska, where she had the opportunity to visit numerous other parks along the way. Becky was also a talented bowler, known for her grace on the lanes and the signature back kick she would do after each throw, a move her family remembers with fond smiles.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Still Waters Farm & Gardens in Hickory, NC.
