Ray Daniel Sigmon

Ray Daniel Sigmon, 91, of Conover, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 18, 2025. Born on April 2, 1934, he was the son of the late Carl and Ada Estelle Sigmon.

Ray spent most of his career working at Broyhill Furniture in Newton. Known affectionately by many as “Monk,” he will be remembered for his deep love of family and his passion for dancing—his favorite hobby and joy.

He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Sigmon; two grandchildren, Brandie Isenhour and Josh Schronce; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ray's home.
