Randolph Scott Yount, 57, of Conover passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023. Born Sunday, February 6th, 1966 he was the son of Zeb Vance Yount Sr. and Helen Propst Yount.
He is survived by his two children Joshua Yount (Merica) of Hickory and Brandy Yount of Lenoir; three grandchildren Aireanah and Amelia Yount both of Hickory and Alayna Nichols of Lenoir; his stepmother Patty Starnes of Connelly Springs; three siblings Renee Burnside of Connelly Springs, Shirley Lowman of Hickory, and Anthony Brinkley of Hickory; and although divorced, special friend Elizbeth Davis who helped care for him with his declining health.
In addition to his grandparents who adopted and raised him, Zeb Yount Sr. and Helen Yount he was also preceded in death by his birth parents Richard Starnes and Brenda Denton; a sister Shelba Cavin; and a brother Zeb Yount Jr.
