Peter Bruce Hill

Peter Bruce Hill, 90, of Claremont passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, at UNC Health Blue Ridge. Born February 21st, 1935, he was the son of the late Arthur Gladstone Hill and Doris Mary Hill.

He is survived by his life partner, Anita Cox of Claremont, NC; his daughters, Cathy Hill (John Whittingham) of Matthews, NC, and Sherri Silvia (John) Matthews, NC; his son, David Hill (Heather Hill) of Orleans, MA; his sister, Barbara Sheridan of Ontario; his grandchildren, Spencer Hill, Jacob Whittingham, Jackson Hill, Colin Silvia, Ethan Whittingham, Mackenzie Silvia, Ivan Hill, and Margaret Silvia; and his nieces and nephews in Ontario.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Arthur Hill.

A man of many passions, Peter was an artist, traveler, foodie, entertainer, and entrepreneur, known for his creative, fun-loving, and optimistic spirit. He touched the lives of all who knew him with his warmth, generosity, and zest for life. Whether through his art, his adventurous travels, or the countless stories shared with family and friends, Peter’s presence will be greatly missed.
