Nancy Mccarty

Nancy Anne McCarty, 67, passed away at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, North Carolina on June 5th, 2023. Nancy was born in Lansing Michigan on December 16th, 1955 to the late Ira and Marie (Jenkins) McCarty.

She is survived by her son Gene (Natasha) Vincent of Lithuania; a grandaughter Elizabeth of Lithuania; a sister Debra (Brain) Decker of LeRoy; nieces Christy and Dana Parker; cousins Vickie (Brad) Stephen, Betty Hale, and Jack (Vikki) Sims; and a dear friend Curwood Scott.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a sister Brenda; and a brother Donald.

Nancy grew up in the Ashton-Reed City area and attended school there. Nancy worked mostly in the food industry, then in the medical field. Her hobbies were cooking, fishing, hunting, traveling, and looking for morels. She made the best pies from scratch and was often called the "pie lady." She had the biggest heart and would help anyone out. She was finally baptized on June 3rd of this year. The family wants to thank Betty Hale for the wonderful support she gave Nancy to make her journey home easier.
