Nancy Elaine Clark, 80, of Morganton, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Amorem. Born November 22nd, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Stuart Lee Cozort Sr. and Margaret Mae Cozort.
She was a devoted member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church for over 60 years, actively serving on numerous committees and boards. As a cherished member of the Wade Aldridge Sunday School class, she formed lifelong friendships and created countless treasured memories. She found joy in the outdoors, tending to her flowers, and embracing the beauty of nature. However, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren, whom she affectionately called Love-Love, Angel Pie, and Sweet Angel.
She is survived by her children, Travis Clark (Katherine) of Charleston, SC, and Robbin Clark Scott (David) of Huntersville; her three grandchildren, Jack Scott, Porter Clark, and Easton Clark; and her step-granddaughter, Hannah Scott; her five siblings, Ben Cozort of Valdese, Sybil Butler (Jerry) of Glen Alpine, Dottie Fox (Ronny) of Morganton, Dale Cozort (Rachel) of Topsail Beach, and Jack Cozort (Kathy) of Raleigh; her two sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Cozort of Newton, and Sue Cozort of Drexel. Also surviving her from her late husband's side of the family is two brothers-in-law, Charles Clark (LouAnn) of Morganton and Carl Clark (Susan) of Morganton; three sisters-in-law Sandra Beck (Darrell) of Trinity, Gail Clark of Morganton, and Nancy Clark of Morganton; and over forty nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, George Bennett Clark; her two brothers, Stuart Cozort Jr. and Gary Cozort; and her sister-in-law, Jane Cozort. Also preceding her in death from her late husband's side of the family are brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny Robert Clark, Kenneth Harold Clark, Ruth Clark Greene, Huse Clark Powell, Joyce Clark McMahan, Julia Clark Rhyne, and Nell Clark Lail.
A memorial will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Oak Hill United Methodist Church, with Rev. Adam Love officiating. Anyone who is unable to attend the service will be able to watch it live through a live stream https://www.youtube.com/@oakhillivenc6332/streams.
