Mary Sue Watson Fields

Mary Sue Watson Fields, 80, of Hickory passed away Friday, January 3, 2025, at her home. Born March 28th, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Long Watson and Virginia Haywood Findley. Mary Sue loved to spend her time relaxing and reading Nora Roberts and J.D. Robb novels. She also enjoyed being creative while creating cross stitch masterpieces.

She is survived by a daughter Bonnie Jolly (John) of Hickory, NC; a granddaughter Tiffani Cashwell (Travis) of Waxhaw, NC; one half-sister Joan; three half-brothers Ronnie (Barry) Watson of Arden, NC, David Watson of Hickory, NC, and Eric Watson (Tammy) of Hickory; and a Sister-In-Law Donna Watson (Tim) of Granite Falls, NC.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Frank Fields Jr.; a son Gene Fields; a half-sister Debby; and a half-brother Jimmy. 

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary Sue's memory to the American Cancer Society.
