Margaret Seibeck

Margaret Mary Seibeck, 71, of Hickory passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her home. Born December 24th, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Casimir Paul Basalay and Mary Joyous Walter Basalay. Marge loved to be on the water fishing, skiing, and soaking in the sun. She especially loved the beach where she would spend hours enjoying a good book. Her kids and grandkids were her joy. From months in the summer to weeks in the winter, everyone was welcome at Nana's! She cared for many animals in her lifetime. From Labradors and Boxers to Calicos and Tabbies, her house was always filled with the pitter-pattering of paws and curious meows.

She is survived by a daughter Nicole Marie Seibeck of Williamston, SC; three sons Christopher Paul Seibeck (Karen) of Jonesville, NC, Jeffrey Allen Seibeck (Tina) of Dallas, NC, and Michael Thomas Seibeck of Gastonia, NC; four grandchildren Bailey Christopher Seibeck of Pell City, AL, Allesandra Nicole Grdijan of Waynesville, NC, Kaitlyn Nicole Seibeck of Simpsonville, SC, and Christopher John Seibeck of Jonesville, NC; and two brothers Paul R. Basalay (Karen) of Peru, IL and James W. Basalay (Maria) of Normal, IL.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband LaVerne Albert Seibeck.
