Leona Faye Jones

Leona Faye Jones, 87, of Phoenix, Arizona, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Sale, North Carolina. Born on August 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Monerable Arnold Alexander and Ova Lee Utt Alexander.

Leona was a graceful and loving mother, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, cousin, and friend. Though she stood only five feet tall, her spirit was larger than life. She was known for her warm hugs, bright smile, and ability to make everyone feel like a friend. Leona never met a stranger and always ensured her visitors left with a laugh and a smile. Her kindness and joy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survived by her two daughters, Shanna Rotzler and Sharon Vuckovic (Mike); her grandchildren, Joshua Springer (Emily), Rebekah Springer, and Ethan Rotzler; her sister, Arloa Atkinson (Ronnie); her aunt, Louise Johnson; her sister-in-law, Barbara Carpenter; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Jones; her brother, Martin Alexander; her sister-in-law, Anne Alexander; her brother-in-law, Tom Carpenter; and her uncle, Howard Johnson.

Leona's warmth, love, and laughter will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.
