Leigh Love

Leigh Ann Love, 78, of Vale NC passed away after a long fight with dementia on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Abernathy Laurels with her daughter by her side.

Leighann was born January 14th, 1946 to Karl Donald Love and Florence Lona Love (Ridgway) in Minnesota. She was the youngest of four children and loved getting together with her family to reminisce about life and share the love her family showed so well. Leighann had a full life of raising four children, helping to build her own house in California, working her own Telecom business and making many friends along the way. She spent most of her free time enjoying the outdoors by working in the yard and making her home beautiful with many trees and plants. Cleaning up the yard was always followed by a huge bonfire, and she was great at making the biggest fires. She loved to travel the world and scuba dive whenever she had the time, along with being around her family and friends. Helping to raise her grandkids later in life was her greatest joy. She bought all the fun toys to enjoy. She would give tractor rides around the property and swim in the spa with them. She was the best Grandma/Dada to her grandchildren. She always had pets because she loved to have that companionship. Chickens, dogs and a cat were a staple in her house. She always had a smile on her face and love in her heart for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by three sons Glenn Christopher, Scott Christopher and wife Christa, Daniel Moore and wife Erica, and her daughter Amy Estes and her husband Russell; two sisters Barb Bares and Gail Englund, her brother Karey Love and wife Julie; seven grandchildren David Christopher, Ethan Christopher, Amanda Christopher, Skyler Moore, Leila Moore, Savannah VanWormer (Estes) and husband Clayton, Clairissa Estes; and two great grandchildren Eli Christopher and Lucy Christopher; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents Karl and Florence Love preceded her in death.
