Lavina Bowen

LaVina Elizabeth Bowen, 94, of Hickory passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. Born February 4th, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Harry James Bowen and Lorna Cobb Bowen. She was a beautiful, caring, and overall just simply a remarkable woman. Her family was her world, and the love she had for them was untouched. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter Shiela Stowells (Robert) of the home; three sons David Bridgman of Roseburg, Oregon, James Bridgman of the home, Jeffrey Bridgman of Claremont; a sister Darlene Montgomery of Santa Rosa, California; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Cheryl May; a son Lloyd Bridgman; a sister Dorothy Akins; and a brother Fred Bowen.
