Eddie Allen

Eddie Lewis Allen, 66, of Hickory entered his heavenly home on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Born November 7th, 1957 he was the son of the late Paul William Allen and Betty Hasque Allen. Eddie was a lifelong resident of Hickory. He retired from the trucking industry and at one time owned Allen's Body Shop in Hickory. He drove a tractor-trailer truck just like his father; he was very proud of this. He drove all over the United States, lots of times with his wife Robin with him. They spent many trips together getting to see the country together.

Eddie was a devoted Christian man who loved his Lord and his family more than anything else. Even during his many surgeries and illnesses he stayed dedicated to his faith and family. Eddie was a member of Fellowship Advent Christian Church in Bethlehem. Pastor Dave Ross and Eddie spent many hours talking and praying together. He enjoyed these times and all his visits from church members.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Paul William Allen (Jennifer) of Hickory; his sister Kathy Martin (Darrell) of Conover; his four grandchildren to whom he loved and adored, Alex Chapman, Avery Allen, Maci Cook, and Haiden Allen; and two nieces Crystal Hullet and Nicole Isenhour.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife Robin Little Allen; daughter Maria Dee Allen; and infant son Bobby Joe Allen.

Eddie Allen will be greatly missed by his family and friends; he would want us all to rejoice that he is with his Lord now. Eddie is no longer in pain and is in Heaven with his wife, son, and daughter.

A celebration of his life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Fellowship Advent Christian Church, 885 Icard Ridge Rd, Taylorsville, NC. There will be a private burial at St. Peters Lutheran Church, where he will be interred beside his wife Robin.
