Debra Lynne Hobart 57 of Hickory died Tuesday, January 19, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born, October 9th, 1964 in Homestead, FL, she was the daughter of Donna Talbot Chipley and the late Claude Irvine Chipley Jr.
In addition to her husband of 33 years Kirk Clayton Hobart; Sons Hunter Reid Hobart and Austin Conner Hobart; Daughter Kendyl Hobart Warren; Mother Donna Talbot Chipley; Sister Sandra Gail Mathewson; Daughters-in-law Anna Brendan Hobart and Morgan McCool Hobart; Son-in-law Mark Allen Warren; and Granddaughter Mae Reynolds Hobart survive her.
Her Father Claude Irvine Chipley Jr. preceded her in death.
Debbie grew up in Homestead, FL and moved to Tampa, FL after college where she married Kirk and raised their three children before moving to Hickory, NC in 2005. She devoted most of her adult life to sharing the Gospel with middle-school and high-school students through the ministry of Young Life. She’ll be rememberd as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother.
The funeral will be held at Corinth Reformed Church of Hickory, NC at 2:00pm on January 29th. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 at Corinth Reformed Church.
