Crystal Elaine Johnson, 54, of Hickory passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at her home. Born July 23rd, 1968 she was the daughter of the late James Gudger Barrier and Millie Juanita Taylor. Crystal loved her family. She spent most of her life taking care of her children and grandchildren. Although she was born in North Carolina, she spent many of her adolescent years in Florida and always considered Florida home. She loved the beach and found the ocean peaceful, she was compassionate and always willing to help others in need. She was an avid reader; instilling the love of reading into her children. One of our favorite memories is her reading us stories while we were growing up. She will be deeply missed by her loved ones.
