Brenda Mitchell

Brenda Wellman Mitchell, 79, of Hudson passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 in her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born, July 25th, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Santas Earl Wellman and Nannie Gert Rhoney Wellman.

She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Roy Mitchell of the home; her sons, Greg Lowman of Connelly Springs, and Brad Lowman of Connelly Springs; her daughters, Debbie Lowman and her husband Andy of Hildebran, and Susan Lowman of Hudson; her three sisters, Tommie Johnson of Hildebran, Sue Whitener of Hickory, and Diane Cooke of Hickory; her 7 grandchildren, Alisha Martin, Josh Hildebran and his wife Meagan, Sean Hildebran, Daniel Godfrey and his wife Beth, Chris Godfrey and his wife Dana, Brandon Lowman, and Emily Daugherty; her great-grandchildren Caroline Godfrey, Jonah Godfrey, Jacob Godfrey, Peyton Hildebran, Charlotte Hildebran, Henry Hildebran, Lily Hildebran, Sophia Bollinger, DJ Shuford, and Austin Shuford; her two great-great grandchildren, Colton Shuford and Leighera Shuford; and her two loving fur babies, Charlie and Rocky.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant son.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the memorial service that starts at 1PM July 3, 2024 at Christ Church located at 2416 Zion Church Road, Hickory, NC 28602.
