Beulah Mae Johnson Bogard, 85, of Newton passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Carolina Caring Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Born July 26th, 1938 she was the daughter of the late William Pearl Johnson and Martha Spicer. When she was able, Beulah had a green thumb and a love for all kinds of flowers and gardening. She passed this talent on to several of her children and grandchildren, who continue to cherish her memory through their own love of plants and flowers. In addition to gardening, she also had a talent for quilting and made several beautiful creations during her lifetime. Beulah also had a passion for singing, delighting anyone who heard her voice.
She is survived by her life partner Henry Marshall of 13 years; five daughters Shirlene Larsen, Debra Barnes (Joe), Marilyn Grace (Lloyd), Jacqueline Farthing, and Misty Davis; a son Ricky Stamper (Reva); a sister Vivian Means; a brother Gene Johnson; twenty grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Beulah is preceded in death by a daughter Angela Bertolino; two sisters Margie Puckett and Loretta Townsend; and two brothers William Pearl Johnson Jr. and Kenneth Johnson.
