Autumn Harris

Autumn Belle Harris, 46, of Newton passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice House. Born August 17th, 1977 she was the daughter of Van Donne Harris and Kim Renee Thornburg.

Autumn was a woman of many talents and a heart full of love. She loved singing and was a great writer, bringing joy and inspiration to those around her. Her witty humor and straightforward nature made her a cherished friend and sister. Above all, Autumn was a devoted mother, always putting her children first and creating a warm, loving home for them. She enjoyed playing Spades and had a generous spirit that touched everyone she met. Autumn Belle Harris will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter Vandelyn Renee Harris of Newton; two sons James Long III of Newton and Dominic Sturghill of Hickory; her fiancé Daryl Sturghill of Hickory; a brother Michael Schronce (Danielle) of Zebulon; a sister Kimberlee Adeyemi of Winston Salem; a step-father Charlie Ray Thornburg of Zebulon; two nieces Katelyn Schronce of Newton and Amber Schronce of Claremont; a nephew Christian Anthony Schronce of Sherrills Ford; a step-nephew Nicholas Daniel Jenkins of Zebulon; her special Mama Patti and Papa Gary, Patti and Gary West, of Fletcher; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother Kim Renee Schronce Thornburg and her father Van Donne Harris.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the family.
