Alexander Gardner

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Alexander Scott Gardner (Alex), age 39, passed suddenly on Friday, May 27, 2022, from an automobile accident. Those who knew Alex will miss his sense of humor, sharp intellect, and ingenuity. He loved working with boats and cars, was talented in mechanics, carpentry, and computers, and was building his own business, North Lakes Property and Marine, based in Clayton, GA.

Alex will be sincerely missed by his mother, Carol Gardner of Harrisville WV, his father and stepmother, Billy Gardner and wife Katherine of St. Augustine, FL, his sister and brother-in-law, Alison and Rom Teague, his nieces, Merritt and Collins Teague, and his constant companion Nova. We appreciate and remember all of the love, guidance, and support that Alex received throughout his life from his aunts, uncles and cousins, his late grandparents, and his many friends, sponsors, and business associates.

A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00pm Thursday June 2, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church Hickory at 237 2nd St. NW Hickory, NC 28601. The family will receive friends following the service.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Alcoholics Anonymous.
